She has a keen interest in supporting new talent and is currently a mentor for the NFTS comedy course, on the judging panel for writing programmes, giving talks at and working with the LOCO Film Festival, CTBF, BAFTA Guru, RTS, The Smalls Film Festival, and on the jury for the BAFTA TV Awards and BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing 2018–2022.

Ella graduated from St Mary’s University in 2018 with a first class honours degree in Drama and Theatre Arts. Having always had a passion for comedy, after graduating Ella began writing comedy for fringe shows, radio segments and stand-up comedy while also creating her own material, which she uploaded online throughout the pandemic.
