The actor Andrew Cruickshank, known to millions of television viewers as Dr Cameron in the hit series Dr Finlay’s Casebook, died in London today after a heart attack. He was 80 years old and, as John Cookson reports, his career spanned 50 years and kept him working up until shortly before his death.
