Students in Years 2–4 may add or drop courses through the STARS online system, provided they do so within the add/drop period announced by the University’s Office of Academic Services. Students are nevertheless advised to think carefully about their choice of courses and to use this measure sparingly so as to cause minimal disruption either to classes or their own workload.

Course Registration. There is a course registration period and an add/drop period for each main semester. For Semester 1, the course registration period is generally from mid June to early July. For Semester 2, the course registration period starts on the week following the end of the examination period, which is generally in early December.

All SBS students are auto overloaded with 3AUs per semester. E .g., normal load for BS Year 1 Sem 1 is 16AUs so BS Year 1 students are allowed to register for a total of 16AUs (normal load) + 3AUs (Auto-overload) = 19AUs.
