Ekachai Uekrongtham is a director and writer, known for Beautiful Boxer (2003), Pleasure Factory (2007) and Skin Trade (2014). He has worked in both theatre and film and was one of the founding members of the Singapore ACTION Theatre.

Beautiful Boxer (Thai: บิวตี้ฟูล บ๊อกเซอร์) is a 2003 Thai biographical sports film produced, directed and co-written by Ekachai Uekrongtham. It tells the life story of Parinya Charoenphol (a.k.a. Nong Toom), a famous kathoey, Muay Thai fighter, actress and model.
A second season, set in Thailand and directed by Ekachai Uekrongtham, premiered on 22 January 2017. A third season was announced in November 2019 to be set in the Philippines and directed by Mikhail Red; production of the third season faced several delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
