His family was quite international due to his father’s occupation. His father, Rodney Shuttleworth Drake, was an engineer with the Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation.

Jun 22, 2024 · Radcliffe played a lot of Nick Drake on the Graveyard Shift when the Way to Blue: An Introduction comp was released, around '94, which is how I discovered him. At the time, being a skint student, 3 albums and a rarities collection meant it was quite easy (and cheap) to become an "expert".
Found Nick Drake's 'Fruit Tree' boxset (1979) today. And I couldn't be happier about it. This 1979 boxset sort of re-ignited interest in Nick Drake and led to several artists namedropping him in the eighties. I had been postponing buying anything from Nick Drake for a while now.
