Nico Erik Rosberg (born 27 June 1985) is a German and Finnish entrepreneur and former professional racing driver. He competed in Formula One from 2006 to 2016, winning the World Drivers' Championship in 2016 with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport.
Rosberg celebrates his second place for Williams in the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. In his three years with Williams his best was the first. In his F1 debut at Bahrain, he set the fastest lap and finished seventh, behind his team mate Mark Webber.
Rosberg took his first career win at the 2012 Chinese Grand Prix. He was the teammate of former karting friend and eventual six-time World Drivers’ Champion, Lewis Hamilton, from 2013 to 2016, twice finishing runner-up to his teammate before a title win in 2016.
