They are blessed with an oasis of talent in a desert of disability and ineptitude. Although they could probably tell you how many thread are in their shoelaces, tying them together would be an almost impossible task.
Last month I created a build centered around the idiot savant perk by keeping my intelligence at 1 and maxing out my luck. This leveled me up pretty damn fast especially when idiot savant would trigger after completing a quest (i went from level 2 to almost level 5 in an instant after saving Preston in the beginning).
It’s NEVER too late for idiot savant, you should always pick it up in every playthrough regardless of your build. Obviously the earlier the better, but I picked it up at around level 40 and it has been insane in helping me get to 70.

Idiot Savant? It's a Luck perk that will randomly give you triple experience any time you do something that gains experience, and the lower your intelligence is the higher the chance of the perk activating is.
