Jun Ichikawa (市川 準, Ichikawa Jun, 25 November 1948 – 19 September 2008) was a Japanese film director and screenwriter. He was first a director of television commercials before adding filmmaking to his creative activities. His most famous film outside Japan is Tony Takitani, an adaptation of a short story by Haruki Murakami.

Jun Ichikawa was born on 25 November 1948 in Tokyo, Japan. He was a director and writer, known for Tony Takitani (2004), Byôin de shinu to iu koto (1993) and Tôkyô yakyoku (1997). He died on 19 September 2008 in Tokyo, Japan.
Bio. Born in Tokyo, 1948. A prominent hit maker of TV commercials, he earned the Grand Prize at the Cannes International Advertising Festival in 1985. His first film is "BU+SU" produced in 1987. His most acclaimed film is Tony Takitani, which earned him numerous festival awards.
Japanese Actress. Jun Ichikawa was born in Kumamoto (Japan) from an artistic family (father graduated in Conservatory of S.Cecilia in Rome (Italy) as tenor and mother graduated in Japan as soprano and piano teacher). At the age of 8, the family moved definitely in Italy for father’s work.
