May 5, 2018 · Dack Rambo was born Norman Jay Rambo in Earlimart, California (with his identical twin, Dirk) on November 13, 1941. He and his twin moved to L.A. in the early 1960s and were discovered by actress Loretta Young who cast them in her TV series The New Loretta Young Show (1962-63). Dirk was killed in an auto accident in Hollywood on February 5, 1967.
Oct 26, 2017 · Dack Rambo was only diagnosed with HIV in 1991, if I remember rightly, and he was in Dallas from 1985-1987, so some years before he was diagnosed with HIV. It is very possible, and even likely in my opinion, that the cast on Dallas knew about Dack's promiscuous bisexual bachelor lifestyle, at a time when the AIDS scare was widespread.
Mar 12, 2022 · Or was he just added because there was a spot left and he fitted well as Dack Rambo because the opening credits were in alphabetical order. I always felt that some of the supporting cast (Morgan Brittany, John Beck, Mary Crosby) weren't included in the opening credits because it put them ahead of the real stars.
Dec 24, 2020 · Knots Landing had alphabetical order, too, but their opening credits had smaller pictures or no actor's faces at all, but in Dallas it was big. John Beck would have been ahead of Barbara Bel Geddes. Maybe the R brought Dack Rambo in the opening credits, because he was the last featured actor in it.
Apr 8, 2021 · I think it‘s common knowledge that Dack Rambo wasn‘t really happy on Dallas. During the dream season Jack and Jenna are having a nice friendship/growing relationship which felt like the right move at that time. Then (quite suddenly) they split up, Jenna gets delusional about Bobby and Jack is riding a tandem with Grace.

I do think that Jack in Season 9 DVD should have been much more involved at Ewing Oil, as a much more ambigious type of character in terms of morality compared to Bobby, and not just involved in the Dimitri Marinos situation with J.R. and ...
Mar 12, 2022 · What happened to Dack Rambo on the set of Dallas disgusts me, it doesn't surprise me though. We have a long way to go society wise for equality for gay people. I only hope people will come to there senses as regards gay people. I don't hold much hope as I live in Northern Ireland, where unfortunately bigotry comes naturally!
