For example, as a showrunner he has improved tremendously in building his writers room.

  8. TIL: Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has gone on record that the role of Peter Quill (aka Star-Lord) was down to Howerton and Chris Pratt, while Star Trek producer Damon Lindelof has said that Howerton nearly beat out Chris Pine for the 2009 reboot film’s James T. Kirk.

  9. May 27, 2021 · In a competitive situation, Peacock has given a straight-to-series order to a new drama series from Damon Lindelof and Tara Hernandez. The series is titled “Mrs. Davis.” Plot details on the series are being kept under wraps, but it is said to be an exploration of faith versus technology and an epic battle of biblical and binary proportions.

  10. May 22, 2018 · Lindelof is trying to ensure that the broadest possible audience is able to connect with his work. As for politics, as others pointed out, Watchmen is an inherently political story and an adaptation/exploration of that world that didn't acknowledge the politics would feel very false.
