Mar 19, 2024 · if you made a big upgrade it would of course make a difference but i wouldn’t recommend upgrading just for distant horizons unless u have money to and want to for other reasons too. you should just test it with your current hardware with open hardware monitor (an app) open, mess around with the basic dh and bliss shaders to get more fos (specifically the cpu bias setting in dh), and then ...

  7. Sep 5, 2023 · Bedrock is being upgraded what seems like every day, making it more compatible with mods. Hell, even a month ago we got our first mod loader: amethyst loader! I’m not hating, but you shouldn’t be so quick to crush one’s dreams! It’s completely possible in the future just not as of now. nuh uh.

  8. IIRC Distant Horizons has a setting that lets you pre-load ~1k blocks in each direction which lets you see around 60-ish chunks in each direction. Rendering stuff that has already been loaded and processed isn't that resource intensive.

Jul 12, 2022 · If you're playing locally, there's a config option for pre-generating LODs on world load, it should work with the existing worlds ok, but may be incompatible with certain mods changing the worldgen. In case LODs aren't generating automatically, I'd recommend checking the instance logs, maybe it fails due to some reason. 2.
