Etobicoke School of the Arts is a specialized, public arts-academic high school located in Toronto, Canada. Founded on September 8, 1981, Etobicoke School of the Arts has the distinction of being the oldest, free standing arts-focused high school in Canada.

Alumni. Over 80 per cent of our students pursue post-secondary studies. Although many pursue a career in the arts after high school, just as many attend top college and universities to pursue challenging academic programs.
At our open house you can tour different spaces and speak to our arts focus teachers, visit our academic teachers in the gymnasium, and stop by our cafeteria to speak to our guidance department or get assistance with the online application.
Courses and Special Interest Programs. Our academic curriculum offers a full range of course selections in the areas of mathematics, science, languages and social science, while providing flexibility to be fully engaged in an arts major.

Our program also includes studies in wellness, dance conditioning, anatomy, dance production, composition/creation, improvisation, repertoire, as well as dance history in order to expand students’ understanding of the world of dance and their role in it.

ESA’S Music Theatre program is the only kind of interdisciplinary program in the TDSB, which integrates Vocal, Theory, Drama, Dance and Technical Theatre to train and develop the student as a ‘triple threat’ performer.
