Sir Kazuo Ishiguro, born 8 November 1954, is a British novelist, screenwriter, and short-story writer. He was born in Nagasaki, Japan, and moved to the United Kingdom in 1960 when he was five. Ishiguro is one of the most celebrated contemporary fiction authors in the English-speaking world.

An Artist of the Floating World. Ono is a once revered artist now living a life primarily cast backwards in time. Structurally, there is a lot of overlap between Ishiguro’s first three novels. They’re obsessed with memory, with the tiny moments where a life hangs in the balance.

Dec 9, 2021 · My thoughts on Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro! I have so many thoughts about this book that I want to get off my chest. I think it's really good. Immediately after finishing it, I thought it was quite boring. I felt as if I read the whole thing, waiting for that game changing moment, but it didn't occur. I was searching for hope.
