Richard Li Han-hsiang (Chinese: 李翰祥; pinyin: Lǐ Hànxiáng; 7 March 1926 in Jinxi, Liaoning – 17 December 1996 in Beijing) was a Chinese film director. Li directed more than 70 films in his career beginning in the 1950s and lasting till the 1990s.
Movie director [cameo] Father of Margaret Lee Din-Long and Lee Din-Hing. Li arrived in Hong Kong in 1948 and began his career as a contract actor and set designer. In 1954, he directed "Blood in Snow" which won critical acclaim and paved the way to his career with Shaw Brothers.
Mr Li Han Hsiang. 1926-1996. Director Li Han Hsiang was born in Liaoning and grew up in Beijing. He studied Western painting at the National Peking Art School and theatre in Shanghai. Li moved to Hong Kong in 1948, where director Shen Fu referred him to the acting school of Yung Hwa Motion Pictures.

Biography. Born 1926, originated from Liaoning, China, Li Han-hsiang started his movie career in Hong Kong in 1948, firstly as an actor in The Orphan Girl, before directing his first independent production Love’s Elegy.
