Jun 1, 2024 · It’s not a mistake that this show is set parallel to a major unraveling of America from 1957 to 1981. What it gets right is the emotional truth. The audience gasps when they hear 1957 Frank say Mary is the girl he wants to marry. When Charley tells him that he writes what he knows, there is a similar reaction.

Jan 10, 2020 · The episode where Mary Crosby plays a suspected witch should have been ranked in the top3. It's a classic camp fest with Marian Seldes emoting to the back rows. Love's Deadly Desire with Carroll Baker should have also been ranked higher.
Jun 14, 2024 · I have Marian Seldes’ copy of Louise Brooks’ Lulu in Hollywood; it didn’t have an identifying bookplate inside but it has some tiny pencilled notations on some of the pages. It was sold at one of the Broadway Fleas several years ago; someone had a bunch of her books for sale (if I recall correctly it wasn’t too long after she died.)
