The aliens usher the astronauts into their underground base, and moments later the surface is attacked by a creature that the Xiliens call "Monster Zero", but which the astronauts recognize as King Ghidorah, a planet-destroying monster that had attacked Earth once before.
Astronauts Glenn and Fuji investigate Planet X and encounter mysterious aliens known as the Xiliens, who ask Earth's people to help save their world from "Monster Zero". In exchange for borrowing Godzilla and Rodan, the Xiliens offer a cure for cancer.

During a manned mission to Planet X behind Jupiter, the astronauts encounter inhabitants called Xiliens who ask to borrow the two Earth-bound Monsters Zero-One and Zero-Two to combat their own terror, Monster Zero.
This included three monster movies, a war movie and a spy thriller. It was also stated to include a television show, shot in Japan but would air on U.S. stations. One of those monster movies ended up being Invasion of Astro-Monster.
