  1. Jan 6, 2007 · For a long time, Neil used the 22" Ping Ride and may be the drummer who brought 13" New Beat Hi hats into the mainstream. Although he officially endorsed Zildjian, Neil did make use of the Wuhan Chinas. Most of his Crash cymbals were of the 20" Medium variety. His crashes were/are: 2 16"s ... 1- 18" and 1-20".

Since I was 10 years old I dreamed about having the Superstar set that Neil played. From Permanent Waves to Power Windows, I was in love with his drums.

  4. Nov 12, 2012 · Re: Neil peart's dw kit price? I think DW had a "signature kit" that you could buy for $30,000, but the figure that I saw at one point in a music magazine put the whole shebang (everything from the riser up including drums, cymbals, electronics, and mics) at over $75,000. I don't remember where I read that, though.

Even if you were standing in the same room with Neil while he was playing his Roll The Bones kit it wouldn't sound like it does on the album.

It doesn't matter if they're not rock drummers and he is. Neil Peart has to be one of the most overrated drummers of all time.

  9. May 8, 2012 · May 8, 2012. #14. Well, I AM a huge Rush and Peart fan, and I agree that swinging is something lost on Neil. I listened to the 2008 concert and I thought Neil had acquired a lot in the way of comping skills. He seems to know a lot more left hand/right foot figures that are suitable for jazz phrasing now.

  10. Mar 10, 2020 · Eventually he chose a Ludwig Super Classic set finished in an opalescent white, with some sparkles “and just a little pink mixed in.”. The company made some concert toms, including adorable 6″ x 5.5″ and 8″ x 5.5″ sizes, but Peart opted for double-headed drums all the way around when push came to shove. The sizes: 6″ x 9″, 8 ...
