John joined Rossall in 1912. He was a school monitor and played rugby with the First XV. He left School in 1916 and saw active service as a second lieutenant with the Royal Garrison Artillery. He served in North Africa and Italy during the Second World War and rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Our curriculum is delivered through our Teaching and Learning ‘Core’. A series of common practices that are consistently, routinely performed to facilitate a ‘Rossall Experience’ every lesson, every day.

Rossall awards a wide variety of scholarship awards each year to current and new pupils to the School. Means-tested bursaries can be offered to further supplement these awards. We encourage all applicants to consider Rossall, regardless of whether they think they can afford the full tuition fees.
