Sunisa "Suni" Lee (/ s uː ˈ n iː s ə ˈ s uː n i / soo-NEE-sə SOO-nee; née Phabsomphou; born March 9, 2003) [1] [2] is an American artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic all-around gold medalist and uneven bars bronze medalist and the 2024 Olympic all-around and uneven bars bronze medalist.
After dazzling the world in Japan, Sunisa Lee embraced collegiate gymnastics and pursued her studies at Auburn University. Her time with the Auburn Tigers team proved successful, with Lee earning titles as the NCAA beam champion and SEC uneven bars champion.
Suni Lee is Glamour’s Woman of the Year. After winning gold at the #Olympics in Tokyo, the gymnast battled inner demons, online critics, and kidney disease to make it back to gold-winning glory at the 2024 Paris Games.
