It's not possible to backup or restore your chat history on linked devices such as WhatsApp on Web, WhatsApp on Mac, or WhatsApp on Windows. To back up or restore your chats, you’ll need to use your phone.

We recommend using your Google Account to back up and restore your chats and media. Learn how here. If you’re unable to do this, you can try restoring chats from your WhatsApp database files, but keep in mind you won’t be able to recover any media through this process.

Tap More options > More > Export chat. Tap Without media or Include media. An email will be created with your chat history attached as a .zip file. Note: If you choose Include media, the most recent media sent will be added as attachments to be sent from your sharesheet.
