Mount Albert Grammar School, commonly known as MAGS, is a co-educational state secondary school in Mount Albert in Auckland, New Zealand. It teaches students in year levels 9 to 13. As of August 2021, Mount Albert Grammar School is the second largest school in New Zealand, behind Rangitoto College.
Mount Albert Grammar School is a state, co-educational secondary school situated in central suburban Auckland. Our current roll of about 3400 students come mainly from within the school’s zone, with a small number from wider Auckland accepted through the ballot process.
Mount Albert Grammar School is a high achieving state funded school. The state funding that we receive covers only a basic education. As a result, we are reliant on parent contributions to help us provide the quality education our students deserve.
Term 1. Wednesday 31 January. Year 9 students only start school. Thursday 1 February. Full school in. Monday 5 February. School Closed. Tuesday 6 February. Waitangi Day holiday.
