He was an actor and director, known for Winter Light (1963), Lilla Jönssonligan och cornflakeskuppen (1996) and Tre kronor (1994). He was married to Mona Andersson and Ingrid Johansson. He died on 24 February 2020 in Stockholm, Sweden.
In an emotional post, the 17-year-old revealed that Olof Thunberg had passed away, writing that her grandfather "was about to turn 95" when he died. The climate activist also posted that Olof was "one of the kindest people" she ever knew and "We miss him terribly."
