If you liked The Godfather novel, I highly recommend The Last Don. There are parts of it that are better than Godfather. If GF is King Lear, Last Don is Romeo and Juliet meets Hamlet. It feels more epic than godfather somehow, but the story is not quite as tight I will admit.
