Positive reviews of the debut album ‘Hard N’ Heavy’ had been followed by the titanic (and essential) ‘Metal On Metal’ album. Following that was the almost as awesome ‘Forged In Fire’.

Like AC/DC, they’ve locked into a tried-and-true formula that keeps the fans coming back to the smithery. It’s taken a small army of AMG writers to keep up with the band’s output and this time, my number came up.
Jun 21, 2024 · On songs like ,,Heartbroken”, the band shifts back into a Black Sabbath-esque crawl that immediately grips the listener before transitioning to ,,Forged in Fire”, with Lips cringe-crooning high notes. When Lips, Reiner, and Chris Robertson settle for this slower pace, Anvil displays their grip on crawling slow paced heaviness.
Try Accept, they sound like German Judas Priest but with AC/DC vocals. Fun fact: all of their album titles are alliterations, three words, first and third word start with the same letter. Anvil! The story of Anvil is a very good rockumentary about the band. You will definitely love the band afterwards!
