Famous as the mother of renowned actress Natalie Portman. She has worked as her daughter's agent throughout her time in Hollywood, as well as a film producer.
Her daughter rose to international acclaim for her role in Luc Besson's film The Professional in 1994. She would subsequently change her stage name to Portman to protect her family's privacy.
Her daughter is her and her husband's only child. She was present and supportive of her daughter Natalie's acting ambitions from age 10 on.
She met her husband while working as a ticket seller at a student center at Ohio State University. Her parents are of Jeweish-Austrian and Russian descent.
