  2. Sasha Matson was born in Seattle, grew up in Berkeley, California during the turbulent and musical 1960’s, and is currently a resident of Cooperstown, New York. As an undergraduate he attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where his primary composition teachers were Elinor Armer and John Adams.
