The soul of Thomas was apparently reborn in Thomas "Tommy" Shepherd, who was born and raised in Springfield, New Jersey. He is only son of Frank and Mary Shepherd, who divorced when he was still young.
Speed ( Thomas " Tommy " Shepherd) is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is depicted as a member of the Young Avengers, a team of teenaged superheroes in the Marvel Universe. His powers are based on those of his uncle Quicksilver.

- Secret Identities. The Young Avengers had to decide how much to tell their parents after the members decided to continue acting publicly. None of their parents found out.
- Family Matters. Kl'rt the Super-Skrull tried to take Teddy to Tarnax IV, the Skrull homeworld. Kl'rt revealed that Mrs. Altman was not Teddy's mother and killed her.
- Civil War. In Superhero Civil War, members of Young Avengers were captured by S.H.I.E.L.D. for not complying with the Superhuman Registration Act. Captain America and the Falcon helped them escape.
Biography. POWERS. Speed can move, think and react at superhuman speeds. His entire body is adapted towards the rigors of high-speed running, including his cardiovascular and respiratory systems. He metabolizes an estimated 95% of caloric energy content of food (normal human use is about 25%).
