We strongly encourage America’s 19,000+ municipalities to directly help the monarch butterfly population recover through planting milkweed and nectar plants within their borders.
Join Monarch city usa. America has over 19,000 municipalities. Our goal is to get as many as possible in as short of time as possible to become creators/supporters of new monarch milkweed sites within their borders.
Jan 31, 2024 · Zion, IL, blossomed into a Monarch City USA in 2021, sparked by the Queen Bees of Zion Red Hat Society. With roots in Mexico, both Monarchs and Zinnias symbolize the city's diverse residents. The Zion Park District spearheaded the Monarch Festival, later transformed into the successful Zinnia and Monarch Festival in 2023.
