Carmen lives for the most part in House 1 of the three connected Giger houses (1, 3 and 5). Giger designed the connecting door to his wife’s house to resemble an Egyptian sarcophagus. Carmen’s house is not quite as gloomy but more colourful as the other two.
CARMEN SCHEIFELE DE VEGA * Born in 1937, originally from Spain (Madrid), moved to Switzerland in 1961 and lives in Baden (Aargau) Carmen’s mother brings Spanish sunshine into the Giger residence, where she works in the office two or three times a week, attending to secretarial and accounting duties.
