Dec 17, 2020 · Saddened to hear of the sudden passing of director Steve DiMarco who I worked with over two seasons of Dark Matter. A unique individual with a sense of style all his own, Steve was one of this industry’s quickest and most efficient shooters, never failing to make his days, often wrapping early (to the delight of the crew).
Steve DiMarco was a director and writer, known for Hurt (2003), Due South (1994) and Spike of Love (1994). He died on 16 December 2020.

Dr. Steve DiMarco was recently awarded the prestigious title of Marine Technology Society Fellow for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of ocean science and innovation. Dec 16, 2020 On Oct. 8, the Marine Technology Society (MTS) presented their annual awards at the virtual Global OCEANS 2020: Singapore – U.S. Gulf Coast conference.
DGC Ontario mourns the loss of Director Steve DiMarco. Steve was a Member of the DGC for 34 years, his film work included Heartland, Rookie Blue, Saving Hope and most recently, Romance Retreat. Steve was also the author of "Bullies Inc." a book series for young adults.
