Stefan Arndt (born 1961) is a German film producer and managing partner of X-Filme Creative Pool, which he started with fellow friends Tom Tykwer, Wolfgang Becker and Dani Levy. X-Filme is one of Germany's most prosperous and famous production companies.
Professor Stefan Arndt completed his PhD in plant ecophysiology at the University of Vienna in 2000 and is working at the School of Ecosystem and Forest Sciences of the University of Melbourne since 2002. The major focus of his research is on the interface between plants and their environment.
Stefan Arndt is a German filmmaker who co-founded X Filme Creative Pool and X Verleih with Tom Tykwer, Dani Levy and Wolfgang Becker. He has produced acclaimed films such as Amour, Run Lola Run, Cloud Atlas and Babylon Berlin, and has also acted in some of them.

Stefan Arndt was a co-founder of the Berlin Sputnik collective as well as a founding member of the German Film Academy, of which he was chairman until 2009. Since 2016, he has been Head of the Directing Department at the University of Television and Film Munich.
