Jack Sholder (born June 8, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is a retired American director, best known for his work in the horror film genre, notably Alone in the Dark, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge, The Hidden, and Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies.
Jack Sholder is a filmmaker who has worked on features such as The Hidden, Nightmare on Elm Street 2, and Alone in the Dark. He also taught film production at Western Carolina University and won an Emmy for his editing work on 3-2-1 Contact.

The Hidden is a 1987 American science fiction film [2] directed by Jack Sholder, written by Jim Kouf (under the pseudonym Bob Hunt), and released by New Line Cinema. It stars Kyle MacLachlan and Michael Nouri, along with Clu Gulager, Chris Mulkey, Ed O'Ross, Clarence Felder, Claudia Christian and Larry Cedar, and received mostly positive reviews.
