PHIL MOUNTFORD – THE COMPOSER & MUSICIAN. When Phil created Forever Elton in 2018, he was looking to form an act that would do justice to what he regards as one of the finest pop songwriters of the 20th Century and be a fitting tribute to Sir Elton John.
Born in 1970 Mountford started studying the electronic organ at 10 and grew up on the stage performing at various theatres in the Midlands. After graduating in Computer Science he became a software engineer all the while continuing to perform as a keyboard and vocalist.

Philip Mountford has the title of Professor of Organometallic Chemistry and Catalysis at the University of Oxford, and is formerly a Tutorial Fellow in Inorganic Chemistry at St Edmund Hall. He gained his D.Phil degree at Oxford and Balliol College under the supervision of Professor MLH Green (1990).
Forever Elton (Phil Mountford) is an award winning composer and musician who performs as Sir Elton John touring throughout the UK and Europe and can be seen in theatres performing both solo or with his full band. The show includes dazzling, authentic costumes, and live piano playing.
