Abby Mann (1927-2008) was an American writer and producer, known for Judgment at Nuremberg (1961), Kojak (1973) and Skag (1980). He won an Oscar for his screenplay of Judgment at Nuremberg and adapted it for a Broadway play.

Mar 28, 2008 · Abby Mann, the screenwriter who brought incisive characterization and a searing sense of justice to “Judgment at Nuremberg” and other social dramas, died on Tuesday in Beverly Hills. He was 83.
Abby Mann was a writer and producer of Judgment at Nuremberg (1961), Kojak (1973) and Skag (1980). He died in 2008, one day after Richard Widmark, one of the stars of his first film.
