Jul 4, 2023 · Scarlett Pictures' Kath Shelper may have made a decision a few years ago to retire from producing, yet she's helped to bring to screen two of the most anticipated Australian films of late: Warwick Thornton's 'The New Boy', which lands in cinemas on Thursday after a Cannes berth, and Kitty Green's upcoming 'The Royal Hotel'.
Kath Shelper has won Best Feature at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards in 2009 for Samson & Delilah, written and directed by Warwick Thornton. That same year, Samson & Delilah also won the Camera d’Or for best first feature at the Cannes Film Festival and many other awards around the world.
