Alexander Mikhailovich Tatarsky (Russian: Александр Михайлович Татарский; December 11, 1950 – July 22, 2007) was a Russian animation director, screenwriter, animator, producer, artist, co-founder and artistic director of the Pilot studio.
Aleksandr Tatarskiy was a co-founder of Pilot Studio, reputedly the first private animation studio in Russia after the collapse of the Soviet Union. He held many roles in the animation process: writer, animator, artist, director, producer, and teacher. He has won the State Premio of Russian Federation and the Nika Award. Born December 11, 1950.
