The Steve Allen Show is an American variety show hosted by Steve Allen from June 1956 to June 1960 on NBC, from September 1961 to December 1961 on ABC, and in first-run syndication from 1962 to 1964. The first three seasons aired on Sunday nights at 8:00pm Eastern Time, directly opposite The Ed Sullivan Show .
Steve's guests are folk singer Bob Dylan ("The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll"), comedian Wally Cox, comic Louis Nye, Hollywood fashion designer Marusia, vocal duo The Soul Sisters, and industrial spy Harvey G. Wolf.
