Who Is Lawrence Shragge? Whistling too loud in the elevator, humming aggressivisimo in the movie line, full-blown soundtrack coming off him like Bartok with Tourette’s, snap-ass rhythm section made of pants and shoes, clicking dirty grooves with his tongue, scatting licks, rhythm tricks and tics like a Grand Mal seizure you can dance to.
Screen Scoring faculty member Lawrence Shragge has spent a lifetime studying film and examining the emotional impact of music in the movies. His successes include two Emmy Nominations for Outstanding Music Composition and composing the score to over 160 movies and television shows, including the award-winning Anne of Green Gables.
Lawrence Shragge is an award-winning composer. Born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Lawrence earned a degree in Music Composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and did additional studies at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY.
Lawrence Shragge is known for Patrolman P (2013), The Journey Home (2014) and Learning to See: The World of Insects (2016).
