John Harvey McKay (July 5, 1923 – June 10, 2001) was an American football coach. He was the head coach at the University of Southern California (USC) from 1960 to 1975 and of the National Football League's Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1976 to 1984.
John McKay is an English songwriter and guitarist. He was the first studio guitarist of Siouxsie and the Banshees. He was a member of the group from July 1977 until September 1979. He played a "jagged unorthodox chording", and created a "metal-shard roar" with his guitar.

May 30, 2020 · John McKay played college football as a halfback at Purdue before transferring to Oregon. After graduating from Oregon, he became an assistant football coach with the school for nine seasons before taking over as head coach at USC in 1960.
