Raised in Tel Aviv, his first published book, a short story collection named The Day they Shot the Prime Minister was published in 1991, and is considered representative of the Tel Aviv lean writing genre, alongside Etgar Keret and Orly Kastel-Bloom.
Uzi Weil was born in 1964 in Israel. He is a writer and director, known for In Therapy (2005), Comrade (2006) and In therapie (2010).
