Fr. William Langlois, who served as pastor of St. Patrick – St. Anthony Parish in Grand Haven from 1996 to 2016, was dismissed from the clerical state by Pope Francis in May 2021. The dismissal followed a victim-survivor's complaint of sexual abuse from 1999 to 2006, when Langlois was a minor and an adult.
