John P. Picollo (born December 10, 1970) is an American baseball executive. He is the general manager and president of baseball operations for the Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball. [1] . Picollo has been employed with the Royals since 2006. [2] Picollo is from Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
J.J. Picollo officially became the seventh General Manager in franchise history on Sept. 12, 2021, and on Sept. 21, 2022, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager, overseeing baseball operations.
