The Chickasaw Mudd Puppies recorded two albums, White Dirt (1990) and 8 Track Stomp (1991), working with producers Stipe, Willie Dixon and John Keane. The band broke up soon after.
Jun 6, 2021 · There was a lot we didn’t know about the band, like how they were protégés of Michael Stipe from R.E.M. and share the Georgia connection. This album, “8 Track Stomp” is their second outing and a great mixture of all the styles that were on display at the show at The Barrymore than night.
He co-produced and featured on their two albums: White Dirt (1990) and 8 Track Stomp (1991). Stipe had planned a collaboration with friend Kurt Cobain, lead singer of Nirvana, in 1994, partly in an attempt to lure Cobain away from his home and his drug addiction
