The Letter for the King (Dutch: De Brief voor de Koning, pronounced [də ˈbrifoːr də ˈkoːnɪŋ]) is a 2008 Dutch adventure film written by Maarten Lebens and Pieter Verhoeff and directed by Verhoeff. The film is based on the 1962 book of the same name by Dutch writer Tonke Dragt.
Synopsis. Organised crime is man’s work. Only very occasionally does a woman manage to break through and head a crime syndicate. The main character in this series, Carmen van Walraven de Rue (Monic Hendrickx), is one such woman, but the role she acquires for herself is not the one she had in mind.
