Alex Somers (born March 7, 1984) is an American visual artist and musician from Baltimore, Maryland, who attended Berklee College of Music and Listaháskóli Íslands. Somers lives and works in Los Angeles.

Bio. Alex Somers can trace his musical DNA to when he was 13, the year he bought a Tascam four-track tape recorder to go with the guitar he’d been given for Christmas. “It was a mind-blowing moment: I discovered I could manipulate sound,” he recalls.
Musician Alex Somers’ (@alexsomersmusic) history with birdsong goes back to when he was a teenager using field recordings in his music. This led to one of his first introductions to Audubon, through a set of field recordings that have become famous in the sampling world.
