Static Anonymity is an EP released by the Canadian band Metric in 2001. The back cover of the album states that "This handmade collection of rare songs is only available at Metric performances or at www.ilovemetric.com and is not intended for retail sale".
Check discogs. I’ve been searching for the mainstream EP for a while to no avail, but static anonymity pops up there once in a while and that’s how I got my copy.
I was baffled why it was the only one left out from that Static Anonymity tracks. Has anyone ever heard if there was a reason for that? All these years later, its still one of my favorite Metric tracks.

In the same year, the band released Static Anonymity, a five-song EP which they sold only at Metric performances and on their official site. Three tracks from the EP were also included on Grow Up and Blow Away. Metric live at the 9:30 Club, 2004
In 2001, Metric released the EP Static Anonymity, which was only available at their shows and through the band’s website. That year, Haines and Shaw became acquainted with Scott-Key and Winstead and the quartet eventually relocated to Los Angeles, where they slowly established an audience base through performances at the Silverlake Lounge.
