Waldfried Barthel (born October 23, 1913, † August 11, 1979 in Munich) was a German film entrepreneur and diplomat.
Constantin Filmverleih GmbH was founded in West Germany on 1 April 1950 by Preben Philipsen and Waldfried Barthel [ de], who would later become the head of publicity for the company. It was originally the country's national distributor of films produced by Columbia Pictures and United Artists.

It is however confirmed that Preben Philipsen and his counterpart, the German film merchant Waldfried Barthel, founded a film distribution company in Frankfurt/Main under the register no. 1944, which they named after the first names of father and son Philipsen: The CONSTANTIN FILMVERLEIH GmbH.
