Roland Schlimme is a Canadian film editor. He began his film editing career working with Peter Mettler in an abandoned hotel outside Zurich on the feature documentary Gambling, Gods and LSD, tackling hundreds of hours of film and video to produce a fifty-two hour assembly edit and a three hour film.[1]
Mettler began editing the film in early 1999 outside Zurich with Roland Schlimme (Manufactured Landscapes, Act of God). More than 50 hours of film, and hundreds of hours of video were shot to produce the final three-hour cut, which he said was like "composing a piece of music".
Roland Schlimme has been collaborating with leading independent filmmakers for the past twenty years. As an editor, he continues to focus on unscripted, non-fiction features.
