Alan Wallis produces original paintings in acrylic on canvas. He trained in fine art at Guildford School of Art in the 1960's, where he was awarded the Thames and Hudson prize for painting. His current collection comprises 28 flower portraits, still life studies, seascapes and human form studies.
Alan Wallis. My inspiration comes from the natural world. It is my intention and desire when sculpting my pieces, to capture the character of the subject and that fleeting moment in movement. My work is mainly figurative and almost exclusively in clay, as I feel that is the most natural material for my style of sculpture.

Alan Wallis – Artist / Sculptor. Alan Wallis studied fine art and ceramics at Guildford School of Art in the 1960s when, he says, art schools really were ART schools. Over the following years he set up workshops producing handmade ceramics, which he sold to shops all over the UK.
