This is a compilation of various parts of his career since 1989. The first five tracks feature Geoff Downes on keyboards (Asia/Yes), Scott Gorham on guitar (Thin Lizzy/21 Guns), Michael Sturgis on drums (21 Guns/A-Ha/Asia) and Phil Spalding on bass (GTR/ELO).
Bacon sang lead on Mike Oldfield's 1987 album Islands which, in the U.S. version, featured the minor hit "Magic Touch", and was co-produced by Geoff Downes, who produced GTR. Nov 18, 2007 · Hearing Bacon’s version of “Tears” (a great song in and of itself) on Downes’ Vox Humana album impressed me even more (John Payne, formerly of Asia, did a less-than-stellar version on Asia’s Archiva 1), and a different arrangement of that song is included here (retitled “Tears In My Eyes”).
Geoffrey Downes (born 25 August 1952) is an English keyboardist who gained fame as a member of the new wave group the Buggles with Trevor Horn, the progressive rock band Yes, and the supergroup Asia. Born in Stockport , Downes moved to London to pursue a music career.
